Regarding "real fruit", how much sweeter is a tomato, an orange, or an apple today compared to past centuries? Haven't most if not all of the commonly available (popular) fruits today been refined through selective breeding t

Yeah I know, it is the lowest effort. But I'm not running it on my main system. Worst case I'll have to reinstall (unless it messes with the hardware, firmware changes for example).

I'm on 2.90 and can't find any weird processes running. I'll hold off on 2.91 until they've explained what happened.

I found this talk by Christophe Pettus [1] very informative. The title is somewhat misleading as most of the talk has little to do with Python, but it's a good introduction to more advanced Postgres concepts. Also available in PDF form

It could also be the Apple charger's design that makes it able to handle shorting of components without posing a hazard to anything other than itself.

I don't get why people complain about that. Keep the code but add a disclaimer if it's so much of an issue for some..?

Websites are one thing. It really gets annoying when different applications in an operating system "can't agree" on what to use. I've seen both in Debian/Gnome apps, but that's kind of to be expected from (F)OS

The asc/desc triangles bugs me too. Arrows would indicate order (⬆︎ = rising, lowest to highest). Triangles aren't arrows and should IMO be the reversed, like a pyramid (▲ = ascending, smallest on top). I just noticed HN uses

Wasn't aware of it using DB2, not that I care much what it is as long as it works. As you probably know having worked on it it's an application platform too, which is mostly what we use it for. Sadly, none of my colleagues has the

I second that request. It looks really nice, but SaaS - free or not - is a no go for projects that involves sensitive or classified data.

Do those quotation marks mean "enterprise labelled", such as the WD RE4-series? Are there good data on how they perform vs the consumer series? By good I mean like the data your company provided, samples of thousands of drives.

I think you're confusing the two. gfxCardStatus only shows which graphics card is active. Pupil only allows you to change screen resolutions. They complement each other, but have no overlapping features.
