It has to do with the FDA banning the import of confectionery with '...a non-nutritive object, partially or totally imbedded within it.' The FDA reasons that it may pose a potential choking hazard.

I understand that they're doing string comparisons (of a kind), but what are those values defined in 'uint32_t'? Is it a translation of values into memory addresses?

FT has this incredibly aggravating policy of forcing registration on mobile devices. If you're on a mobile device, request the desktop version of the site, and you should be able to view the content.

It's good that Linode is taking security seriously, but the pessimist in me wonders; if all it takes to get a password reset site-wide is an attack on a single user, wouldn't that open up a whole new, rather aggravating attack aimed solely

IMO, there seems to be something missing from these points. I personally am more pessimistic, and don't believe people will join a startup community unless there are incentives to actually do so. Incentives like Talent/Experience and Money

Well that's weird. I tried giving the demo a Photoshop CS5 file and it doesn't like that. I thought maybe it was a parsing problem, since I remember there being something about the latest Photoshops doing something to PSD's. PSD's made in P

I hope that the appeal _does_ go through. This is a dangerous precedent for our legal system to be setting. I do not like the idea that US law can be applied to me here in the UK despite having no business in the US itself.

Yes it does. But programming is one of those nice fields where you can usually pick up the pieces and relearn things pretty quickly if doors happen to close on you.
