I built something like this using manual screenshoting, OCR, and indexing with Meilisearch but now there are tools to do this automatically like perfectmemory.ai. You can definitely build something yourself by gluing a bunch of open source

This is super cool but what's interesting is that this same kind of bootstrapping problem exists for hardware as well. What makes computers? Previously built computers and software running on them. The whole thing is really interesting
