I’ve been meaning to build a personal selfhostable version of this. I’ll vibecode it as simple webapp someday and OSS it, should be easy enough. I see the merit in this project as well but no way in hell i share this data with a third party

Not on iOS, there Firefox is actually Safari under the hood and you can’t use extensions… Haven’t found a good solution yet (other than avoiding websites with ads)

I use reader mode 90% of the time, I’m really not interested in fancy layout or formatting for a website. I just want the text readable and looking exactly the same way for every website. Designers probably hate users like me.

It’s funny, my experience is the exact opposite. Having grown up in Germany i was surprised how many people in the US would strike up a conversation randomly in the street with me - I thought it’s a normal thing and never really experienced

You can’t really because these powerful models are censored. You can create lewd pictures with open models but they aren’t nearly as good or easy to use.

My point was not that I’m 100% convinced that LLMs can think or are intelligent. My point was that we don’t have a great definition for (human) intelligence either. The articles you posted also don’t seem to be too confident in what human i

Hard power was always stronger. That’s why the US was so successful in the past century - they just have a lot of weapons and little hesitation to use them. It’s a pretty bellicose culture too. I still think that soft power helped the US tr

Marketing slogans are just that, words that sound good. Better look at their actions than take their slogans at face value. Applies to everyone

I showed you all the sources but you prefer to close your eyes. Of course even the most hardcore AFD racists wouldn’t go on a stand and proclaim that they support remigration, because that would get the party banned and destroy all chances

What I never understood is this binary system in the US - why wouldn’t you allow some other parties or reform the system in a way that allows more diversity. But it’s of course a hellishly complex problem

The market economy is not about fairness but about ruthless power. The worlds most influential people demonstrate that only power matters; that the world order we built last century through unimaginable suffering and violence matters less t

Sorry but you are just riding semantics here - what is the difference between far-right, extreme-right and “fringe”-right? AfD is classified as extreme-right by German intelligence. The US vice president gave them an endorsement in public s

So far the current admin has been very successful in obliterating all the soft power the US built up through the decades.

I don’t know about the rest of Europe but your administration has repeatedly been promoting the AFD in Germany - most prominently your vice president. The AFD is recognised as a far right party by the German state and is being investigated

What does “truly thinking or reasoning” even mean for you? I don’t think we even have a coherent definition of human intelligence, let alone of non-human ones.
