As a software engineer, I learned what entropy was in computer science when I changed the way that a function was called which caused the system to run out of entropy in production and caused an outage. Heh.

China has better manufacturing prowess than the USA. Their scale is astonishing and they have an incredible ecosystem of components, logistics and labor to make manufacturing hyperefficient. I'm sure the government helps them out too,

Only the base salary counts, not the total comp. That 280k/yr sounds like total comp - includes base+bonus+RSUs. The average base would be more along the lines of 150k-190k.

There is no cap on number of attempts. I think the 3 attempts you are referring to is the 3 year OPT after you graduate with a degree, companies usually try to sponsor during those three years while you're employed with them.

AI is a pretty broad term - its been used for generations to mean something intelligent seeming that isn't human. Certainly, computers running precompiled instructions also falls in that category.
