Mainstream distro users/contributors were too busy arguing that Debian is better than Slackware, Arch is better than Debian, Ubuntu is for noobs and now NixOS (whatever that is) reigns supreme. All that reduced the UX of these distros

Drug patents are much more short-lived and there's arguably more money invested in drug discovery than in, say, writing a fiction novel. IMO copyright should be limited to 20-30 years. Not that LLM labs care anyway.
