One of the maps in Yoot Tower is Kegon Falls. When I moved to Japan I found out it was a real place. Just took another day trip up there last month. Of course IRL it’s just an elevator but the view each season is amazing.

There’s another rush hour between 9 and 11 pm. Another way to confirm this is to compare with the morning rush hour. Way more crowded as most people start work at around the same time (most companies have a starting time of 9 or 10 am).

In Tokyo, when I have the choice between an above ground train or a below ground option, I tend to choose the above ground choice if I have time and it’s not too much slower. This way I can enjoy the view and avoid the subway tunnel noise.

Isn't this distorted by the amount of unreported overtime? Anecdotally many of my friends in Japan work overtime but don't report it, or report a smaller overtime amount.
