No, usually investors stock is preferred with 1x liquidation preference. This means they get their money back, then the rest is split among other shareholders

I think it's a bad advice. If you only wait for investors to find you, you don't run competitive process, don't have enough options and you give up your shares at too low price.

We use chip&pin in europe. It looks like Apple card supports it and you'll be fine

Not soon. Business model in Europe is much less interesting, since EU capped interchange fees

The problem is credit card business in US is a)much more profitable due to significantly higher interchange fees and b)credit cards adoption is much higher.

I think this was one of the most interesting aspects of seeing AlphaStar play. MaNa already started to use oversaturation when he played live game against the AI. I'd bet soon this will be the new meta, and everyone will play this way

Actually, it's not entirely true. A few years back EU cut the interchange fees dramatically (to 0.3% on credit cards, 0.2% debit) but all the savings were pocketed by merchants

Actually, it's merchants. EU drastically capped interchange fees a few years ago. The premise was that it will lower costs for merchants and effectively lower costs for consumers. However, most of the savings were kept by merchants, es

I thought so too. Then i joined Google, where it’s mandatory. After some time I learned to see the value. Ever since i left Google i tried to have them, but managers dont seem to buy into this idea, and i miss it dearly

It's usually at least 3-4x, not double. On some routes, it's even up to 10x. Also, here as a couple, you might have this just for 50% more (booking 3 seats instead of 2; assuming price per seat is the same)

Source code for expansions for Heroes of Might and Magic 3 was also lost [1]. It's a shame because it was one of my favourite games ever [1] https://ggtriple.wordpress.com/2014/12/10/no-expansions-in-m..

Uber seems to be in 581 cities [1] while Lyft in 200 [2]. So this is 3x difference. However, Uber is more global, therefore has much more large cities around the globe. It wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that on average cities are 2

I beg to differ here. Once you get the scale like Uber, and you don't have to spend billions on marketing, this is a very high margin business. Minimal costs to maintain infrastructure and 20% cut on millions of ride's a day. The

You can't forget the difference in scale. Lyft is only in USA, while Uber is a global company. For them to enter Europe/Asia now, would mean tremendous investment.

But if you look at trend on each individual property separately, CPCs are not declining anywhere. It's just effect of Simpson's Paradox on total number

Precisely that. Change in Google's CPCs is a great example of Simpson's Paradox. CPCs on every property separately are growing, but aggregate is declining due to much faster growth in areas where CPCs started low
