As someone who enjoys all of those activities I will say that meditation offers something that those activities do not offer. There is an inner clarity that can be found in a much more profound way from meditation, in my experience.

I don't think downvotes/emojis work the same way as real life human feedback, at all. On places like reddit, downvotes more often than not incite anger or resentment in the recipient, whereas strong negative feedback in real life

Just because there’s a technical workaround doesn’t make it not stealing. If I neglect to lock my car and my stuff gets stolen, it’s still stealing. I might have been able to prevent it had I locked the car, but it’s still stealing.
