Took a very long time to get it to sign in and play on my local machine... we'll see if it's worth switching from the official client.

I was so excited to install this and finally be rid of Win 3.11. I was 13 or so when this came out and really just coming into my own with IT stuff, building PCs and whatnot. It was really mind blowing back then.

I think I was 11 or 12 when I first installed Win95, once I got some help, it was like a whole new world. Multimedia was finally a real possibility. Seeing Weezer in their "Buddy Holly" music video on the disc was pretty wild, and

I loved doing this on my Dreamcast back in '99. It was the first console I ever managed to "mod" -- even though it's completely a software mod. At first we had to download loader discs, just a few hundred Kb on a disc, t

Yeah, the day I bought the game, along with my best friend and PC gaming buddy, after playing for hours, we stayed up really late as I read the manual aloud. Ahh memories.

What a fantastic bunch of games those were, right? We eventually had such a blast playing Descent: Freespace at LAN's.. great game.. anyway.. the Descent devs are at it again! https://playoverload.com/

It MAY not be that easy... femtocells and whatnot may make that a difficult task. I wondered this myself, since nearly all pirate radio stations are caught.. but cell sites don't work the same way. Just a thought.

Seriously, I'm really surprised at some of the comments here. Some hackers have always been suits though, so I shouldn't be surprised.

here's a documentary featuring Adrian prominently. This is the best you'll see Adrian, because some time after this film he went on (or off?) his meds, betrayed Chelsea Manning and various other things shitty humans do. https:&#x

Despite all the negativity, as a filthy degenerate, I missed the previous ability to get a Paypal debit card and instantly withdrawal money sent to my PP acct with it. This should be useful..

Nice, I grew up in Sonoma county, definitely looks like home. More so the area to the right that's almost cropped out, but still.. nice to know that winxp's iconic background is of home. Wish I knew that back in '01 when it w

This is AWESOME! Thank you! I'm a giant news junkie, while I work in IT and like/need to stay abreast of whats going on, I also used to work for an online gaming publication. Checking news sites is just wired into my everyday rout

Oh man, I don't think I have much/any use for this today, but my first internet experience was on Gopher. They had it set up on what I'm assuming were some kind of *nix machines at the local library. I would search for comic

I love these old write ups on classic Simpsons episodes. The first 7-8 seasons or so are pure magic and we'll miss John Swartzwelder always.

BitchX isn't that hard, it's got all the ircII stuff plus a few changes to how you do a few things. I used graphical IRC clients for years until I started working more and switched around devices too much. I'm not a fan of ZN

I was so excited when police body cameras became a thing. I figured that some kind of beureucratic oversight would stop most, if not all funny business-- BOY WAS I WRONG!! They 'accidentally' turn them off, don't bother weari

I come from a small town, small enough to yell across and we're perfectly safe leaving our doors unlocked. Home invasions and break ins are unheard of entirely, in the last 30 years at least. Similar behavior in surrounding towns with

I was a little late to the game and didn't get a 3d card until Quake 2 was out and had been patched a few times. I bought a Diamond Monster 3d (add on card), plugged it in, installed the drivers and loaded up Quake 2... no difference.
