Thank you. Found the udemy courses today too and I think this is ultimately what we'll do. Basically every other vendor's videos are some weird paw patrol/person of interest hybrid. The company pricing for udemy is strange th

I understand the main complaint against BT Sync is that it's not open source. That said, is it possible for anyone speak to its security? I've been testing the desktop client for some time and it seems one of the most promising ap

Excited to try the iOS implementation. Is a desktop client (OSX, Linux, etc) for RedPhone feasible? I understand (I think) that RedPhone doesn't use usernames, but instead uses your phone number as the identifier - but I'm curious if that's

I agree, Ross's tutorial is brilliant. Unfortunately it stops right before deployment. For a new developer, or someone who is tech savvy, but not a programmer - deployment can be a maze. I installed Mezzanine on a VPS, something I'm sure is

I'm far less worried about government intrusion than I am generally of corporate intrusion. The relationship, as it stands, consists of me willingly giving all my private communications to a third party I have no standing with. I'm question

Good idea on the backup MX. I do have Exim4 setup on a Linode for outgoing status updates (mainly Fail2Ban), but have yet to use it in lieu of Gmail/Google Apps. As mentioned previously I'm a bit nervous about leaving my mail on a third par

True, but Google Apps tends to follow Gmail's lead, albeit at a delayed pace. I agree that Google Apps is the best of the bunch, and much easier to manage than your own server - but the privacy concerns have just nagged at me for years. I k

Thank you. This seems like a fair tradeoff. In my case I imagine I'd just use my VPS as the relay, rather than my ISP. Just so I understand clearly, incoming mail will not be an issue and can be sent directly to your personal box, but rela

I've been struggling with the tradeoffs in keeping Google as my email (among other things) provider. I own a few VPS's and have plenty of hardware that could serve as a private server. What has kept me from hosting my email up to this point

I wouldn't get too excited. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of the Federal government actually paying out this incentive? I say this because I have medical professionals in my own family, and at least from their experience and fro

I second Arethuza, if you count construction projects there are some impressive long term projects. Some, such as Chichen Itza (400yrs) or Stonehenge (1,600yrs), have direct scientific significance as well.

Not nearly as silly as it sounds. Feral hogs in the south can top out at 400-800 pounds (though this is by no means the average) and are quite clever, and sometimes aggressive. I'm not sure if there have been confirmed fatal attacks on huma

Pretty sure the 1-2 acre number is quite relative to diet. Perhaps for heavy cattle grazing, bush meat, etc. but not for a vegetable based diet. For an alternative reference see: http://books.google.com/books?id=hwAHmktpk5IC&pg=PA819&#
