I think the exercise is more about exposing you to other solution options (to 'break your anchoring bias'). You still have to exercise judgement as to which solution is right for the situation.

I don't think he's saying 'it cannot be physically made to work (given enough effort and discipline)'. The impression I got was more like 'if you go down this route then the incremental path of least resistance lead

350f sounds too low to me. First crack (beginning of a very light roast) is around 200c/392f. Most coffee is roasted quite a bit darker than that - e.g. 220c and above https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coffee_roasting

This is going to sound stupid, but after a while of shaving with a double-edged razor I found I could shave in the shower with no lather. I just wait until I'm done washing and the steam has had a chance to soften the hair, then shave

There's every chance I'm being sloppy with the term reentrant. The factor vm obviously isn't functionally-pure as it accepts user input so I guess it can't be called reentrant by that definition. You can start multiple copies of the program

That's smells a bit of architecture astronaut to me if you don't mind me saying. Sharing information between systems is a tradeoff (vs arch complexity), not something to be avoided at all costs.
