There are additional traffic lights on the blackwall tunnel further in and a slip road out that can be used for overheight vehicles. I do remember having a 10-15 minute wait once while they sorted things out when a lorry driver got caught.

Copper was already on the bottom of the ships by then to stop ship worm (terodo Navalis), it also had the advantage of stopping weed growth. A quick browse through Wikipedia suggests that entire Royal Navy had copper by the late 1790s.

The time to send over a 1Gbps network looks very wrong. Each bit takes 1ns (by definition) so sending 1K byte must take at least 8192ns

Interesting mention of Sidekick Plus, there was a complete SDK for it which I don't think ever got released anywhere (I had a copy as I was working for Borland at the time). It allowed multiple documents to be open at the same time.

On my Lexus that doesn't disable keyless entry, just puts the key fob into sleep mode. There is an option somewhere to disable keyless entirely, but when enabled it means you need to hold the key near (I think less than 10mm from meory

I can say that Toyota Insurance in the UK takes it seriously, they installed an immobilizer (the key fob for which is branded with a Lexus L) for free on my 2020 Lexus RX to combat this issue. I'm probably going to buy a steering wheel

The 7950X3D looks interesting, but I think the cache is on one CCD so it might only boost to 5GHz and the other CCD boosts to 5.7 as it doesn't have the cache. Going to need to wait for bench marks.
