I always thought the Goode homolosine was kind of ugly and 'lumpy' at the edges. The similar Boggs eumorphic projection is really nice though.

I've done some serious navigation off charts, but never once used a Mercator projection — all the charts i've used have been Lambert conformal conic projection.

I wonder if that's a common thing generally or not. Definitely I should add it as an option though. Also whether the year starts at the top or bottom of the dial. The planets do go around the Sun anticlockwise when viewed looking down
