Yea I should have used excalidraw instead of mermaid, thats on me. I am trying to focus on writing good content and I try to not get stuck on the stuff I'm bad at which is making nicer charts.

One of the interesting bits about Fly is we have our own servers distributed globally and connected via wireguard. Which makes it is trivial to setup Elixir/Erlang distribution globally, and most importantly, close to your customers.

Nif's are always a risk to deploy cause they run embedded in the Beam runtime. That said we all use many nif's to do all kinds of stuff and its fine. I go into this in the article a little but but the ruslter team has made dirty

Once you stop drinking the hangovers get worse and worse. The pandemic removed the pressure to drink (for some) and now it’s really hard to lose an entire day to feeling like garbage in exchange for a couple hours of partying. I still drink

I purchased a Samsung tv, I connected it to Wifi one time to download any 'updates' then I disabled WIFI and all of the smart features via the menu and went the extra mile to block its MAC Address on the router. I never once touch

I am informed by my personal experiences. I had an core i5 laptop from 2019 vs r4800 from 2020 and the experience was night and day running arch linux. Just smoother running everything on the AMD. And my power usage was objectively less and

Any plans for AMD or ARM processor options? The amd ryzen stuff has nearly good performance per watt that the M1 does. I really can’t see myself buying another intel processor for at least a few generations.
