You shouldn't numb it, that's crazy. The best people on this planet care about others. The worst turn into Putin.

The biggest advantage of vim, besides the language for editing text in normal mode, is that you are really fast and it just feels like you never have to wait for your computer anymore.

Arch Linux is the best system there is, and if you are worried about kernel stability, there is a lts kernel. I've been using it for work for many years, it doesn't disappoint.

I play counterstrike and I frequently is at the top spot in death match games, beating second place with twice their score sometimes. I'm 47. My reaction time hasn't slowed at all. My memory have a little bit though.

Gmail is the easiest to replace by far. You can copy everything to Fastmail in hours and be done.

Those companies do not track and save private search information about every human on the planet. Google can affect what every human thinks about anything, because they control the worlds information. Nobody really understood the full power

I had a forest walk today. Cleared my head and reminded me how beautiful nature is. I think people are disconnecting way too much from what's real and embracing what's not real.

For me KDE is too buggy. Always issues with everything from the indexer going nuts to random theme clutches etc...

I want this so bad. Hopefully it comes into Arch quickly. There has been rumours that theming may be dead though? Appearently it's harder to theme things in Gnome 42 but I don't know why.

It's a very fast terminal but has some graphical artifacts in vim for me with integrated terminal. I use alacritty now. I also used wezterm for a while, it's really good but feels slower. Overall we are spoiled with choice. :)

I never got exited about micro services because I understood that the complexity would be unreal. I was watching as the industry went all in on something fundamentally wrong. It didn't make anything better, it made everything worse. No

In 50 years? I've been looking back at humans since I was born and thinking there is not much to be proud of. We made the planet a worse place for every other species expect maybe cats and dogs.

It's always interesting how people's experiences are so different. At many of my jobs, airflow has just worked perfectly and we never even had to think about it. But i welcome alternatives since I think it has become way too compl

Intel has absolutely been lazy and literally just gave 5% performance increase per year for quite some time. When AMD was making shitty processors, Intel was just trying to squeeze as much money as possible from marginal upgrades. You can r

A download identifier really isn't that bad. Maybe they need to actually show some numbers of their downloads to justify budgets and other things. It's not like they are having tracking JavaScript on 80% of the worlds Web sites li

This is a great example of making a tech stack more complicated for almost no real value. Developers joining the team now must understand nix, scripting and a lot of other things just to build a simple docker image. Just stop.
