Exactly! That's the main innovation. What you can build on top (like a text algorithm) is adding speed and efficiency.

Because is a huge effort to make a full swipe algorithm based on a potential custom layout and Keybee keyboard is still a one person project. Marco.

Acceleration is a good metric indeed. And distance was the easiest metric to work on to get some useful data to create the layout. Marco.

Well, to create the layouts I had to consider a lot of combinations. Some are really good like "ing" but they could compromize others. That's why I decided to made it fully customizable for the user. You can change any letter

That's a mandatory message for any input method. Keybee keyboard is not collecting anything and the code is all available on github.

I dismissed Keybee keyboard because iOs was not friendly to third party keyboards.

Even Swiftkey dropped from iOs. Main reason for me to dismiss Keybee Keyboard from iOs is that for some forms (like password) you are forced to use the apple keyboard. That's a no-go for me.

For my experience working on iOS is very complex for third party keyboards. Also Google has problems with it. :-(

Text algorithms (swipe, prediction and autocorrection) create issues on performances of the mobile devices (swiftkey for instance is super slow) and often mistakes due to misunderstanding meaning slowing down the typing experience.

Thank you for the comments. Please note that I made this Keybee Keyboard first for myself because I could not type good in a qwerty smartphone. Secondly I decided to make it for everyone and give it for free (free apps and no ads). I inves

I already answered at your question. There's no difference between qwerty and keybee for your specific argument. Also the other user answered to you.

Of course. There is no difference between qwerty and keybee in term of instantness. The difference is between other alternative layouts which claims to be quicker even if they do not shows all the letters (lack of instantness). Qwerty as K

No need to be flipped because the Keybee arrangement starts from the center of the keyboard. So it is optimized for left and right handed at the same time.

Free as free app and not pay app. Most keyboards are trial or you have to pay for use them. That's it.

That's because Keybee is designed for one thumb typing. So it is correct to use mostly the right thumb. Happy new year..!!!
