The only feature from CM that I miss is the ability to hold the volume up button to skip to the next track (as a global option, not just a per-app thing). Everything else that they did so well has pretty much been added to stock android.

To be fair, I bet a lot of agencies would be ok with just having the keys at all times so that they can do surveillance. You could still have encryption for logins, financial transactions, etc. I don't think that's a good idea eit

I think apps have just done a good job keeping you in their little walled garden - they don't want you browsing the web, checking other pages, etc. They want your eyeballs on their screen so they can sell ads. I think it's easy
