I sometimes do find different prices for same products with amazon pushing me to buy product with prime shipping. If you use an extension like Honey, it will warn you that a product is available for lower price without Prime.

You are describing an emergency scenario. Everyone should be prepared for emergencies but I don't think having a gas furnace or stove should be part of that plan. Using them during a power outage can be extremely dangerous.
