Why did they not name it Apple Juice instead of Airpower? :) If you're referring to the FaceTime announcement, it was a third party that forced them to keep it closed (from memory).

On stage it was stated you needed to be alert and looking at the device, as in eyes open. Sleeping is fine I'd guess :) If you're worried about people living with you, I'd guess TouchID is already a huge issue.

It could also be how they made QuickTime very (more?) unstable on Windows, or the IE extension in OS 9 that WOZ proved to cause the OS to crash.

I think your info is a bit outdated (and some incorrect). Buy a mac (or ignore the Eula and run OS X in a VM), install the dev tools (free), install the app on your iPad (free). If you want to publish, there's a fee (per year).

Running the same machine with Yosemite, no cpu upgrade but an SSD and video card upgrade. Thinking of putting new cpu's in as they are down to $35 for a pair, almost free at this point. Can't complain about the machine at all,

We do that (amongst a few friends), we pick a time such as 3:22 to meet up. I wish I could recall why we started doing this, but it always feels purposeful.

Actually, if you just type your search phrase in the URL bar and scroll to the bottom of the suggested URLs that pop up the local page search results are there as well. Under the "Find on this page" heading.
