   I think it's very rare, I've worked at Google for 8 years and I've met maybe 1 person who works from home on a somewhat regular basis.

   According to the article, it's 25 people having being killed since the beginning of the year because of misinformation spread through whatsapp. It seems like it should be a big deal for the company.

   You definitely need to tell your manager though. EDIT: one personal example is at some point I took some external classes and used 20℅ time for it. But most cases are for developing some sort of tools or product.

   Depends where you are. You'll probably make way more in Switzerland than in the US for equivalent positions.

    I think you'll find that mentally ill people are treated differently in Europe, that would be a necessary first step of your want to do something similar in sf.

    I'd like to disagree with that. If your priori are particularly bad then you should expect your estimates to change quickly based on new evidence.

    One thing that really puts me off is the emphasis on protecting privacy for american people. Why should privacy be a luxury of people who just happened to be born in a particular piece of land? Why is it ok to spy on everyone else?

    So, for most people the most efficient learning aid is to spend a few years abroad. A teacher helps, but you need to talk with and listen to lots and lots of different people. There is no way you'll become fluent in a foreign language
