I think the thinking is that in current system as solo creator you are somewhat protected by copyright but your work still gets mainly bought by your audience even if it can be pirated. On the other hand copyright has been absolutely abused

I don't agree about the AI at all. AI is terrible at design (compared to programming). Having relatively nice UI skin doesn't equal good design. They are surprisingly unrelated as i am sure people know highly usable well designed
