Inflation will kill Americans. It may kill more Americans than Ukrainians due to the war. That's hard to say but inflation has a strong correlation with increased mortality rates.

They are probably referring to core inflation... also fuel contributed massively to inflation in March, which was expected, but not expected to stay high forever.

I think the problem with cloud environments is you do not "need" sysadmins - it is not obvious you need them, so what you end up with is a bunch of systems glued together without much thought, and then crazy things like HTTP logs

Yeah. I have a diesel made in the 70s and it amazingly still runs, and starts in the winter without glowplugs. They are amazing things.
