that's basically because all commercial cad software are built on the same 3 geometric kernels (none of which are open source) and have robust and mature solutions. FreeCAD's is improving over time but it's a game of catch-up

I wasn't implying you were doing that. I don't play the 'this isn't fusion or xyz cad' argument when someone brings a suggestion. I'm only stating that not every idea will work properly in the context of FreeCA

FreeCAD doesn't resist those comparisons anymore. They happen regularly. Implementing change is just slow, and purely copying how xyz cad built their UI isn't always compatible with FreeCAD, so a lot of careful consideration goes

Meh, if you gauge FreeCAD development mindset off of the forums you are misleading yourself. That was certainly the case 3 or 4 years ago, but it would seem that the core contributors have mostly moved away from the forum as a platform due
