I have a 43" Philips Ambilight (43PUS8510, 4K QLED). It's not a dumb TV per se, but you don't have to use any of the smart features, and - most important - you don't have to connect it to a network.

"Kočevsko" is the Slovene word for the Gottschee region, most likely just a slovenified version of the original German name. "Kočevarji" then refers to the people from this region and "kočevarščina" to their la

Where I live corn was never used for producing oil. For that purpose we used rapeseed/canola, sunflowers, olives and pumpkin seeds. Corn grown here is mostly used for corn flour, cornmeal (polenta), or for animal feed.

Two things: - How are these "legitimately free"? For example AMC is a commercial TV channel and as far as I know, they don't offer free streaming. Same goes for MGM, FilmBox etc. - Strictly speaking this isn't IPTV, it&#

Same sentiment here. My litmus test is - after creating a window - "how many lines of code does it take to render a triangle?". With the old OpenGL API you could do this in like 10 lines of code (probably even less with SGI's

There are still some remnants of this in Serbian and Croatian, e.g. the semi-dual "nas dvoje / nas dva".

Note that OGG is not a video codec, it's just a container format. I.e. an OGG file can contain MPEG-4/H.264-encoded video.

That's not a proper explanation IMO. The thing is - all these settings are introduced "quietly" as new defaults and you have to opt out. So one day you decide to upgrade a package, brew updates itself, and then starts doing a

I got bitten by broken upgrades in the past, when you were still able to simply "brew switch" to the old version if it was there. In addition the cleanup time is annoying when upgrading a lot of packages, so I kept the setting.
