Try https://cloudron.io . They have SOGo and ownCloud which have pretty decent UIs for contacts. Rainloop for mail.

Are simperium and simplenote related? I am confused. Both are by auttomatic it seems. Edit: looks like simperium is some data stashing service (like firebase?). And simplenote is an app built on top of simperium. Did I get that right?

Totally agree. I don't get this either. If someone copies my software work, I don't go around calling them lazy. Even I spent all my weekends on this lovely piece of code, only for someone else to "steal" it.

I want to love gitlab but it's very slow on small machines (2gb). Worse is that they insist on this omnibus stuff which is all great if you have time on your hands. Any reason gitlab does not auto update?

I think the commenters are jumping to conclusion that OPs profit = 1.1M - 100k. Most of these apps have a big running cost and the profit is not so much as one imagines. Otherwise, OP won't be gainfully employed.
