Again, I very much agree with you, very sound advice. The reason I stick with merlin/Asus is that I do not want to spend too much time, I want to buy sth, configure/deploy/forget.

From what I hear apple's latest chips are already so far ahead of amd64 in performance and power consumption that they can easily wait a couple of years. I do not think that this is what they actually want to do, i am only saying that

i understand that it is more portable but if it is cpu based, i guess its power performance is terrible since it is not using gpu acceleration which is a priori more efficient

The problem with "c/c++" is not that the people using this notation are ignorant of their difference. the problem is that there is nothing preventing someone writing c in a cpp file. what is more, it is up to every one/e
