I wouldn’t mind the wealth transfer if the client jurisdictions’ representatives didn’t meddle in their patron jurisdictions’ local politics. But I suppose it leaves them more to expropriate.

So much of the “never buy a rental” stigma is ICE-specific. EVs don’t rely on hundreds of hard-to-reach soft parts that can disable the vehicle if you drive them too hard. But I’ll definitely be checking the battery and motors before buying

I’m waiting on Apple’s final decision on the CSAM scanner before I buy any more hardware from them. These processors look cool, but I don’t think they’re worth the Apple premium if they’re also spying for law enforcement.

Did that happen in the US in 2020? I thought the overwhelming majority of those claims were dismissed. The real crime is calling bribes “campaign contributions” and pretending that our politicians (of all parties) aren’t selling their votes
