I tried it a couple of times, but i think just a tty with the shell configured to start whatever when logged in via e.g. tty1 is superior. Also I kept having issues with it, not using pam correctly on arch.

In germany and maybe the entire EU there is a one year mandatory time where the manufacturer has to replace/fix the item and after the replace/fix event there is another 2 months on top.
