Somebody in another thread said gastown and wheelhouse automatically move to the next provider if one fails.

Is that true? Many other comments in this thread are saying Apple Silicon has something like 30% better efficiency/battery life.

There are enough keys there, just configure some to your liking. That’s a software problem.

Your reply is unrelated to the article which discusses measuring CO2 in order to gauge pathogen transmission risk.

Thanks for that tip! Unfortunately, it's still bad. It's a bit better than dragging the handles of the selected area, but if I go to far and want to reduce the selected area, it doesn't work anymore.

I can agree to that, KDE is very good. Sadly my hardware has some persistent issues on Linux. Also, while ScreenTime on MacOS is very unpolished, at least it exists. I do not think something similar exists for Linux or KDE.

Apple actually finally managed to allow 0 minutes as a time limit. Screen Time really needs to be finished by Apple, with a few more features, like more allowing certain apps at certain times (not just disallowing one set of apps at a certa

Apple support recently told me to kill all other apps to make the Files app work. It was taking ages to download and save data.

They don’t emulate, they have a reimplementation of Windows APIs. And in some cases, a better one.

I haven’t tried debugging with lldb in some time so I don’t know whether it has improved significantly, but couldn’t the 9% also include that?

Zstd isn’t a product. Facebook isn’t getting anything out of anybody using it. So it isn’t a product.

What he probably meant is that Command+C is copy, etc. You can’t easily do that because every Linux program expects different things. The hack to make it work is to switch keyboard configs when you switch the application, I think. It’s far

This webpage crashed my iPad 6 Gen Safari when repeatedly scrolling down without reading (iPadOS 16.1.1). It’s probably just too little memory, but still, isn’t this just a blog post?

I thin Apple should have rejected all versions of the Spotify app. It’s atrocious.

I don’t think that’s idiotic. There is no standard way of transferring a file from on device to another. That is a failing of the tech industry.

Sounds like the environment of humans is the explanation. If you were to put a whale in a human city, eating and working there, maybe the whale would have the same rate of cancerous cells

The author still seems to be on an Apple Watch 4, if I read correctly. So this seems like a case of Apple shipping a bad update to an older device and not caring. Or OP has a bad device.

Open health app and press on your profile picture in the upper right corner (scroll to the top). Then scroll down and press export all health data. Also OP mentioned the exported XML has some errors in iOS 16, so beware of that.

In iOS 16 it’s tap on the workout, then anywhere under Workout details and scroll a bit. That is really no discoverability issue, because there is even a show more button next to it, that has the same function. But maybe it changed on iOS 1

Why not publish that uuid (not yours but generally)? If the file is properly encrypted why not keep it in a public GitHub repository for example?

I feel the UI at least is better than Spotify. And you don’t have to suffer from podcast advertisement with Apple Music. In the end for all of these services you are exposed to the whims of their dev/management team. The only way aroun
