I miss YouTube where you could just browse topics, like right around when Google bought it is when I liked it the most I think. I much preferred categories/topics based UI over this spoon fed algorithm. I think there's also a swee

I saw an ad for Packard Bell on Instagram yesterday. I looked it up quickly, apparently they've been selling computers this whole time, owned by different parent companies though.

I bought a keyboard without the numpad about ten years ago and rarely miss it (I do have the arrows and keys above them). I would miss it with my work keyboard, but I don't miss it on my personal use gaming PC.

Thanks for posting. It's fascinating you've kept up with it so long. Same with a couple other commenters in this post. I've had a website is some form for the same amount of time, but while I tinkered with blogs a few times i

I've been thinking about this for a couple years. With our (recent) history becoming more and more digital we are losing more of our history. There's lot of creativity of all forms being digital and online only lasting only as lon

I've started putting reddit, servethehome, etc to my searches. Otherwise the results are lackluster in google or bing.

I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure you're correct. Interestingly though, I have an PC I got from a college that has Win 3.11 and has a network card in it and TCP/IP isn't enabled or on it. I was trying to figure

Another weird experience I had with this company is when I deactivated my FB account. A few months later a friend texted me and asked if I was going to an event. Apparently he had invited me to it on FB and FB didn't tell him my accoun

Some of them had experience in map making and modding though, correct? I don't know if Dario Casali had a CS degree at the time or if he does now, but he was making Doom maps and contributed to Final Doom prior to being hired at Valve.

Those houses are cool. There's two next to each other near where I grew up. I noticed them in High School I think. I never knew what they were until a couple years ago when I watched a video about them. They look quite unique with the

I saw the Pixii for the first time today actually. It's unfortunately way above my budget. The other commenter explained a high end bare bones camera. I've always a much lower tier camera without a screen on the back. Like just ta

My bet is that becomes a scenerio where the party with the most money for lawyers wins. If it was me, I would have almost no money for lawyers.

You could get a clear plastic shallow bin with relevant dimensions to fit on a shelf in your fridge. Then you can take it out and put it back as needed. I just use the vegetable drawer in my fridge though.

My daughter will be getting her own Lego and possibly a selection of mine. I organized mine for the first time in my life last year. Some of the sets I've had since the very late 80s and early 90s. Those aren't getting lost :P She

I want an iPad for drawing to make sticker files to send to my Cricut. While it's apparently the best pen/device for drawing, the fact that they are priced $500+ is has been a blocking point for me so far. I'm not sure why pe

I actually forgot about the brass you're talking about. I've seen it used, but never used it myself. I only occasionally solder though, just a few times a year either to fix something or to make a simple electronic project kit. I

I've had my cell phone phone number for at least 15 years, maybe even 20. I wonder if I should just keep it forever even though it's from an area 2.5 hours from where I live. I think it's 2 area codes away. It also makes it e
