   The motherboard of that machine doesn't support more than 3 GB RAM.

   I did exclude the cache part when measuring the memory usage. And they were measured using standard tools like top, ps, etc. Most likely I'd have used the system monitor that comes with KDE.

   You can always setup block level encryption using dm-crypt/lvm in a Linux VM.

   I asked the same question to a hardware enthusiast and Linux user. He suggested me one of the machines with AMD APUs. It seems they're supported well via fglrx drivers.

   I particularly like how FreeBSD manages software, something similar on on the Linux world is Gentoo.

   Don't know about other countries, but it's quite costlier compared to GupShup, which operates a similar service in India.
