Yea, I totally get why they want to be in this space (especially if you see transaction volume becoming more agentic), but why buy it? Why not do what Cloudflare or Vercel or AWS, etc did and just build your own? Stripe already has kille

As somebody who grew up in NYC, I am so grateful I did when I speak to people who grew up elsewhere. By the age of 15, I had infinite freedom, especially since all my HS friends came from all 5 boroughs. I'd go see movies with friend

How does adding $200k back to payroll help pay for 96 employee salaries (plus benefits which tend to be an invisible 25-30% on top of salaries)?

I think this is totally a fair way to do this. I know HN sometimes grumbles about this type of pricing, but totally get it. You’re not taking anything away, you’re just charging for new features after 1 year they paid. They don’t lose ac

The thing I'm most excited about here (other than Yay! Valve!) is that this will bleed towards making projects like Bazzite even better.

Yikes. I see Justin posted this, and I'm sure he can't say much - but this is an absolutely insane story. Google has gone from encouraging 20% time (to create amazing projects like this) to firing people for doing it. There seems

Or... you go to OpenRouter and pay $0.98 / $3.08per 1M for GLM 5.2 vs $5 / $25per 1M for Opus. GLM 5.2 gives you OPTIONALITY so you can run it locally, but you can still just pay somebody for it.
