https://aisler.net/ they definitely aren’t as cheap as Chinese offers but I always found them to be reasonably priced. They manufacture in Germany.

50 Mbit is the maximum bandwidth it can do. It decreases with range which will result in degraded image quality.

OT: Is there a better and/or easier way to read scientific papers? Especially on mobile devices I find PDFs with two-column layouts really hard to read. I wish scientific publications would just be simple html.

I've also been looking around for an alternative these days. The main reason for me is performance: you can get a HP ZBOOK STUDIO X360 G5 with 64GB RAM, i9, 2TB SSD, solid 4k display and graphics for roughly 3500€ I'm just unsure

Also small scale is where lambda really shines in terms of costs. If you have some api endpoint that gets a hit 100 times per hour and does some execution then this is actually way cheaper then even the cheapest ec2 instance in a production

The cool thing about serverless infrastructure is that it does not really concern you. As long as you are on a maintained version of the underlying platform your provider will take care of the updates. If your software runs on a unmaintaine

It's not about using what the cool kids use these days. I can't stress enough that unmaintained software should not run in production. This way you have a good argument towards management and if you do it regularly or even plan
