It's React Native which has been great. Still some work to do to make things really nice on large screens but overall a great experience.

Yes, we copy the content. We store both the original HTML and a copy of the extracted text as markdown. The text is what is synced to your device.

The good news is that it works great in the browser, so it should work really well in Ubuntu. We support desktop notifications in Chrome and Firefox. The desktop app is based on Chromium so it should be fairly trivial to get it working on L

It's pretty easy to fix using ImageMagick which is what most apps are using to resize images. At the command line it's the -strip option and in rmagick it's the strip! method. This does remove all meta data but for thumbnails like this it's
