IMO it is good that the React team was open into investigating different paradigms. It's a good thing and you rarely see this with other big projects.

It is way more nuanced than that. For example if you never redistribute your work that was a fork from GPL code, then GPL states it's ok to never give back the source.

This was Steve Job's personal vendetta actually, he exchanged quite a bit of emails with bloggers/journalist asking why R18+ stuff wasn't allowed on the app store. He was very much anti-porn.

Well it's more that these sorts of library _can_ live on its own and not be coupled to a core business. Not to mention that in the article they talk about how other open source libraries had some pitfalls.

I think humans in general can eat raw meat. It just doesn't give as much calories compared to cooked meat, plus more chance of diseases which would've been sorted out by the heat if it was cooked.

Strange, gradle is just way faster in my use cases. Maven has always been a pain with regards to speed with handling dependencies.

Yes, however if Servo was stopped early on due to no "ROI" (like it is the case today). Then those very good improvements would have not been made.
