Do you have an example or generally what kind of searches you are referring to? My experience with ddg has been "good enough" at least. The few times I don't find anything usable on ddg I ususally end up not finding anything

I use Firefox on a Macbook as well, also with ublock. The site is definitely slow at the moment, but enter key worked for me and on the top of the page I see the number of results that were found...

There are different issues with OSX though, that colleagues of mine had, that never occur with Linux. E.g. the chore of somehow managing different software versions such as the outdated default one and a second one installed with homebrew.

Yes, I have stopped using both, the Slack app and the rocket.chat app at work since I was definitely seeing the effect of them in my RAM usage. I don't use an application tray in my desktop, so having browser windows open for the chats
