I find it easier. In the office a boss can stop me and ask to stay late, a coworker might ask question at 4:59pm, etc. When wfh, literally no one can stop me from closing the work laptop.

Exactly on point. Shit happens, performance bugs appear, someone messes up Kafka config and it starts consuming from the beginning of the world, etc. Limiting CPU is a must. I could see maybe if someone has a super good monitoring + oncall

I second that, EU here. Most of my colleagues take either 5 days (which creates 9 days free in a row effectively, when combined with weekends) or 10 days (which creates 16). Any normal vacation over this requires special approval and I know
