Honest question: is it any good? I deal with A LOT of pdf files on a daily basis (theoretical physics) and I've always wanted a big-screen, e-ink reader (plus free wireless access to Wikipedia, if I remember correctly).

Absolutely right - I forgot to mention that in my initial comment. Chrome's behaviour makes much more sense than Apple's -- who hadn't even secured the bogusapple.com domains for themselves (as Microsoft did with Contoso, for example).

You can easily unpack any extension you've downloaded, and install them manually (Check Developer mode > Load unpacked extension).
