Wonderfully (and fluently lol) written. The more I consume AI related thought and reports the more I've noticed the flaws, but I worry I am also, paradoxically, trusting it more. Curious to see if others feel similarly.

My first thought with optimizing the elevators was to optimize where the elevator went when it was empty. Surely sticking around at the top floor decreases avg wait times, no? I feel like I've been in buildings where the elevator retur

The tricky thing is you get to define the state. So if the "state" is the current word _and_ the previous 10 it is still "memoryless". So an LLM's context window is the state. It doesn't matter whether _we_ see
