I'm not vegan, but what's wrong with turning vegan as a suggestion for an industrial society?

If you think about it, it's only a good material because we ignore the downsides. If we could put a price on that, the economics wouldn't add up.

You assume everyone has extra 200$ to pay. For someone living in a low wage country, it's hard to pay that much, even if you produce a multiple of that value in theory

The design with hot/cold storage makes it much more interesting than FDB for some use cases. FDB is an excellent DB with very strong operational guarantees, TigerBeetle seems to be specialized for financial data and to optimize perf&#x

Jesus dude, just say it was a mistake to call it free forever. How can you be a founder or whatever, have a product and not expect people to judge the words your website had, or the words you say? You should know it comes with the territory.

On paper this looks smart, but when you hit a but that triggers under very specific conditions (weird bugs happen more often as you scale), you are gonna wish you had tracing for that. The ideal setup is that you trace as much for some give

I think in practice it has to do with some libs (eg jdbc drivers) that would be relying on synchronized. If the performance with vthreads was much worse for some cases it would be a bit of failure

Sure! But those were not ordinary people but special disciples, who had accumulated alot of blessings over a long time, thus were able to meet the Buddha and become enlightened with a couple of sentences from the Buddha. Still, the Buddha h

Claiming that someone attains Arhat (or Arahant, if you are used to Theravada texts) with just a couple of meditation retreats is just wild. Because the 9 dhyana, or 9 samadhi, or 9 Juana corresponded to the level of wisdom of an Arhat. It

I see your point, but in my experience you can ramp up some eg: Java developer real quick; and in a couple of months they can quickly start to become more productive than with Java. There are alot of caveats here, and it highly depends on t

Same, I have two powerline APs that deliver ethernet+wifi, more than enough for chromecast/netflix/etc. The only issue i have is sometimes clients don't choose the best APs.

It's woefully short sighted, as it misses the long-term prospect of economic output, as most classes of people you mentioned provide some economic benefit in one way or another. Cynicism should be precise, in my opinion.

At this point, we all should point to personalized diets. I'm vegetarian for many years now, yet I started to have iron deficiency. B12 is perfectly fine. My wife is also vegetarian, her B12 and iron are fine. You should keep an eye on

Congrats on the (kinda) launch. I was curious to see what you guys were up to. The blog post is pretty detailed, and with good insights. Reducing modern app development complexity to mixing data structures sounds like a good abstraction. I&

Veganism is actually a spectrum, as one can always find some connection to animals and their suffering. And you don't need to buy into it, you can go with your own definition. To me it sounds you have just a bunch of excuses to avoid a
