I've switched to Yandex over this (using it as a home page since it looks like the search extension was removed) and am looking at Alexandria. One thing I've noticed is that Yandex video search is actually pretty good.

I think car usage is likely to go up unless the crime in cities is dealt with. For that to happen we have to stop calling constructive peace keeping work "racist" though and that seems unlikely.

I used to do embedded firmware, we actually had micro sdcard labels. The other thing I did was keep mine on a sticky note and label the space around them.

Distro devs don't maintain drivers, kernel devs do that. That's part of why embedded firmware authors like Linux: you get a ton of drivers for free with minimal effort.
