I'm using Zed for a couple of months now. As a Vim bindings user, my personal fav Zed feature is that the Vim bindings really work. Zed is made by people who used Vim themselves.

Every big company has (and if they don't, they should) style guides. In Ruby people tend to use something like Rubocop (which is a static code analyzer/linter) to agree on a style. That will even be added as a default in Rails 8.

This is an extra thing on top of everything they made. I praise them for not adding any extra costs. It is never enough for some people. They have a one off price for so much stuff. Absolutely no brainer for a lot of people.

For me it made a lot of sense. Ruby developers don't like types as much as in other languages. By far the majority of Javascript made by Ruby/Rails developers is vanilla. Turbo is a library used mostly by Ruby/Rails developer

Who says fats are only in meat and dairy? They are in many plant based sources that contain large amounts of fats. Just to name a couple: Nuts, seeds, fruits(avocado, olives, coconut)

I think it slightly works different with a dating app. In theory, if the app works you don’t need it anymore. So in their case, it is confident to offer a big discount.

You can still use React or whatever on those pages. And for the rest (settings pages, signup pages and all the CRUD pages) you can use standard Rails with Hotwire.
