Since the original one is really long; would make the install script even less readable. Also, git.io allows only shortening github repos; so there should be no harm

unfortunately we wrote it on an Macbook Air, where it worked pretty good. It lags horribly on an MBP retina, we might fix that

You need to install Command line tools from the Preferences pane. After that you should be good to go. We'll add that notice probably tomorrow.
