Affinity Photo has already been my go to for performance reasons (how is it so usable and snappy on an old iPad???). exciting to see it get faster yet. inappropriate feature request: "divide" layer blending mode.

right, i'm not making a new claim. i'm saying, that's one of the few conclusions we can draw from this data. it doesn't say anything about e.g. catching covid at the hospital, whether existing data on health consequences

i'd argue the danger is even greater with tests bc the entire point of tests is to provide certainty. wrong tests are a false sense of safety that's unquantifiable without understanding every single line.

ignorant q: does Messenger still hold much of market share? over the last few years almost all of my contacts transitioned to WhatsApp, Telegram or Signal. Messenger is just way too bloated.

that conclusion doesn't necessarily follow though. the proposed thesis by the article author is difficulty of having enough cattle to break even. you need to make enough to grow your operation, which is difficult given that you rely on

what a strange point. "the obvious" is not that there's concentration of power but that farming is hard? what about small farms where many people are happy to continue working because they find it fulfilling?

i work with MF too. im just saying the argument of "digital came and made analog irrelevant" doesn't really apply for me where I personally prefer 35mm over digital, let alone MF where you have "megapixels for days"
