I still use the free version of Plex and got it set up in a jail on my FreeBSD server. Serves my needs for now, and also use Infuse like a lot of people here on my Apple TV 4K. I have no need to transcoding or anything because all my media

Funny, I was JUST looking for a Foobar-like equivalent for MacOS. I'll have to try this out later. I use Roon for daily use at home, but having a network-free local player that supports everything I play at native bit and sample rate i

I'm sick of it, but you are 100% right. I'm sure a good number of active readers here want even more AI-related articles.

Interesting to see them already using FreeBSD 16.0 when that isn't even slated for a production release until Dec 2027.

If that happens, I'll never watch a new movie or show again. I'm already hating a lot of Netflix-ified shows that pander to phone slaves with no attention span, so have stopped that dreck already. I have tens of thousands of hours

Almost every time I see a Canadian character actor I guarantee the film or show was shot there. Shows like X-Files, BSG reboot, The Expanse.. all loaded with Canadian actors

I've been briefly using mine and love it so far. The software is highly polished and the web browser live view is awesome. Waiting to buy some E-mount lenses but my old C-mount TV lenses seem to work pretty well right now.

Who makes the engine and powertrain? I didn't see it on the site.

I moved into a smaller place and didn't really need a remote play option anymore. That's basically the only reason.

You can also tell if something was shot in Canada by all the Canadian actors all over the place. I recognize so many people from X-Files, and so many other shows.

I had a pre-order in for the 128GB DIY motherboard only model last Oct 2025, but cancelled it and just upgraded my current 5900x rig to 64GB instead and replaced the x370 board with a used x470. Really with I had pulled the trigger, but I h

I used a Raspberry Pi 4 as a Steam Link for many years. It was only 1080p60 and had a touch of input delay, but it wasn't terrible. It actually got better with bug fixes over the years.

Pretty sure the Terms of Use say just that. They should update the language on the frontend though.

I'm getting Nokia N9 MeeGo vibes from this. Also reminded me of the tablet debacle which I suppose is ancient history at this point..

I stopped listening to music on my walks and bike rides years ago. I sit at home listening to music all day while I work, so to me it's a nice respite to enjoy the world around me.

Disney has the 1.33 OAR Simpsons now, but you have to select the option. I don't watch it on there because it looks too clean and waxy for my tastes.

I was debating replacing the head unit in my old VW, but I actually like that it has a six-disc CD changer, SD card slot (32GB max, with support for MP3, WAV, etc.), 40-pin iPod connection, and regular AUX in. I use my phone with a USB-C DA

Turns out it was a pipewire.conf file causing some sort of crash (nothing in logs show anything). If I remove that file, everything works. FYI this was on a laptop that began life from version 42. My main PC started out on 38 and has made i

Manufacturers of mainstream consumer motherboards never used 1.1, 2.1, etc. for PCI-E though. What is 4.0 on the spec sheet will be 4.0 to the buyer. My old 2016 motherboard has a slew of 3.0 labelled USB ports that are now not 3.0, hence t
