they would never do it "to drive customer upgrades". That isn't never do it. That's never do it for a single specific reason. Why add that clause? I guarantee no word in that statement is wasted on meaningless fluff.

Actively throttling is different to slowdown due to a bigger load being placed on the system. Apple have stated that they intentionally throttle. Their reason is battery conservation. Also please don't talk down to me. You're way,
