Nah, I move my kids around great with it. Just picked them up from school - skip the car line and I'm in and out faster than driving. The main use has surprisingly been family related - we take it to playgrounds, on hikes, school etc.

Some of these instructors do a great job on social media too - promoting their rides on instagram, etc. It helps build the community aspect of it. I actually think that's a small price to pay for how many people are taking their class.

Getting the equipment on is a bit of a process, so I doubt teams would want to be down a rostered skater in the event they need someone to sit on the bench as a goaltender. It's also extremely rare for these backups to see playing time
