Monoliths might be better in some cases, microservices in others. Performance can obviously differ based on implementation.

I really only buy stuff from Amazon that is unlikely to be counterfeit. I haven't even had great luck with that approach. Better to go through the manufacturer's site, or a more reputable site.

The rising price of a house you own means very little if everything is going up - plus throw in inflation, interest rate, and taxes. If you move now, you are going to pay more unless you significantly downsize.

I'm sure there are some cases where Airbnb is a good solution. I've never really understood where a hotel isn't a much easier option for most. Plus many HOAs have banned short term leases like Airbnb.

Yeah, I'm not saying there is never a need for a long-lived feature branch, there are use cases. I would say it's fairly rare in practice for it to be preferable, at least in my experience.
