macOS scaling is the way to go here. I have been using LG 27UD88-W 4K monitor which is set to 2560x1440 and it works perfectly without any noticeable distortions.

I would say the price is the biggest factor here. Stylus is not necessary but to make it work/feel like computer, you definitely need a smart keyboard. Now all this in total is way more expensive than almost any Chromebook on the marke

Yes, as I said everyone is different so you need to test it out. For example I felt very bad after using Pyracetam. There was no improvement of my focus ability, in fact I was sleepy and head hurt.
